The Abbott CELL-DYN 1700 is a multi-parameter hematology analyzer designed for use in clinical laboratories as well as physician office laboratories. This Abbott hematology analyzer was developed to address hematology needs in today’s changing laboratory environment. Low maintenance, closed-tube sampling, small sample requirements, and high reliability are features expected in the mode hematology lab, and are features offered by the CELL-DYN 1700. The analyzer processes 71 samplers per hour, and offers full data management with data storage for 10,000 specimens with graphics.

The Abbott CELL-DYN 1700 Hematology Analyzer generates the following measurements on Tri-pottasium EDTA (K3 EDTA) anticoagulant whole blood. WBC, RBC, HGB, PLT, LYM, %LYM, GRAN, %GRAN, MID, %MID, MCV, HCT, MCH, MCHC, RDW, MPV, PCT, PDW. Applications of the CELL-DYN 1700 analyzer include two-dimensional laser platelet and red cell analysis, 3-D MCV measurement ensures accurate RBC analysis, Single-step dilution reticulocyte procedure, and five-part leukocyte differential. Other system attributes include a single-tube closed sampler with bar-code reader and resistant RBC mode which lessens interference.
